A Catch-Up with Perth's Hondas

A few weeks back, I caught up with a some of the guys from Perth Honda Official for a quick chat and a few photos down by the ocean. The idea was to have a look through a couple of DC2 and DC5 Integra Type-Rs for an upcoming feature over summer, but with plenty of cars turning up, the afternoon quickly turned into a full-blown photoshoot.

What struck me the most was the outright variety of build present in the community. The mix of cars and passions was fantastic to see. There was the same level of appreciation for a Rallysprint-built DC2s just as there was for a very tidy (and indeed very rare) Targa-top Del Sol.

DC5s proved popular, with a run of Type Rs and a Type S joining in, everything personalised with a few modifications to suit the owner’s tastes.

A highlight was this Australian twin-lamp DC2 complete with Nardi Personal and red Type-R Recaro SR3s, making the perfect daily-driver for a Honda enthusiast.

This widebody EG Build definitely turned some heads and brought a bit of a unique take on what is one of Honda’s most iconic 90s designs.
